BUTTERFLY DETAILING

The butterflies on the scoop are chrome plated just like the rest of the part, and although they are proportioned well and have a nice texture to them, the chrome plating isn’t scale. Most blower scoops have some sort of color on the butterflies, the most popular being red. You can add color with paint and a fine brush, but you can make things a little easier on yourself by coloring them in using a red marker. Start at the center and work your way to the outside, and be careful near the edge; you don’t want to get the marker on the rest of the scoop.

A red marker is all you need to add some quick detailing to the butterflies.
