Heavy-duty Drivetrain
A powerful brushless system and fat, grippy tires are a recipe for drivetrain troubles if the parts aren’t built to take the torque. Traxxas avoids any worries in that department by spec’ing a deeply splined, extruded-aluminum driveshaft; Revo-spec silicone-filled differentials with metal ring and pinion gears; and a fat set of telescoping universaljoint driveshafts newly revised for the Rustler
4X4. Traxxas also pulled a trick from the E-revo and upgraded the slipper clutch’s pads from sintered fiber to solid aluminum. The highcapacity pads are just what you need for high-power, high-grip durability.
