The BOM’S shocks are threadedbody aluminum units with single-rate springs and a dual-cap design, which makes it easy to access the dual O-ring seals. The top caps thread into the 10mm bodies instead of over them for a more scale look, and the completed dampers are smooth operators—every brand gets shocks right nowadays. The front shocks are stood up and mounted to plastic towers on the chassis—no surprises. But in the rear, things get interesting. Shock length is just 66mm (versus 88mm for the fronts), and the shocks tuck in alongside the frame rails. To achieve full travel with the short shocks, rocker arms connect the shocks to the axles. Trick, and definitely different.
