RC Car Action

Starting Line

-

Looking beyond the horizon, it looks like we’ve got a very bright future ahead of us.

We at RCCA would like to take the time to extend a special thank you to you, our loyal readers. This year has been a wild one and we’re sure it’s been a challenge for many of us to maintain a sense of normalcy in our lives. One of the reasons why we love our hobby so much is that it’s all about fun, creativity and spending time with friends and family. To that end, we are proud to produce this special year-end issue of RCCA for you.

As you may have noticed, this issue is over double the size of our regular final issue of the year. That’s because we have combined our December 2020 issue of RCCA with our yearly annual, the RC Gear Guide into a single issue. We hope you enjoy the extra RC content as much as we had fun making it. In this issue, you will get a preview of many of the latest items being released by the best and most innovative names in the industry.

Also in this issue, we cover plenty of RC vehicles including Traxxas’ amazing X-maxx. The giant monster truck is easily the most powerful electric vehicle that we’ve had the pleasure of driving in recent memory. We also get a sneak peek at Tamiya’s VQS, a rerelease of the 1988 cult favorite four-wheel drive buggy, Vanquish.

Redcat is proud to announce their latest release, a ’64 Impala SS Low Rider. You’ll find it in the catalog pages sprinkled throughout this special RC Gear Guide issue.

Speaking of catalogs and gear guides, you’ll undoubtedly find this issue as a great resource for planning out future builds and upgrades thanks to all the new product that is displayed in this issue. It’s packed full of manufacturer catalogs as well as key guides on the best in RC gear. Keep this issue as a useful reference piece for all of next year.

We are also proud to look back on 2020’s Top 20 Reader’s Rides and Top 5 Pit Tips. We truly value our reader’s input, thank you for your contributions. As 2020 closes, let’s look forward the good times we’ll have in 2021.

As always, we enjoy seeing what you are doing with your RC vehicles. If you have a build you’d like to share with fellow readers, consider submitting your ride to be included into out Reader’s Rides department. You can find the easy to submit form at Rccaraction.com. It’s never been easier to submit your ride.

Until next time, Jerry Tsai Editorial Director
