TAMIYA TOW CLOD

The tow-truck body is a cool custom touch, but it hides the even more impressive custom chassis Doug fabricated using a design similar to a Clodzilla. He also built his own circuit board to control the working headlights, taillights, and wig-wag lights using a 9V battery. The tow bed has a decorative (non-functional) tow boom and a set of scale tools and tow chains. Doug uses a 4-channel Futaba attack radio and 4-wheel steering using two centrally mounted servos which give fully independent front and rear steering with both crab steering and conventional 4-wheel steering. Doug kept the stock Tamiya mechanical speed control and he assures us it is not a shelf queen; he runs it a couple times a month and it starts conversations everywhere he takes it!
