Custom Paint

For the body prep and paintjob on the Formula E Gen2, we turned to expert Matt Brase of MR Custom Painting. I requested one my favorite mid-1980’s F1 livery designs and Matt certainly knocked it out of the park. I feel like any race livery would complement the lines of Tamiya’s Formula E Gen2 body, but there’s certainly a special place in my heart for this one in particular. In order to preserve the scale look as best I could, I decided to add a couple of aftermarket magnetic body mounts, keeping the lines nice and clean.
