MR33 Racing Circle Droop Gauge with Droop Blocks

- MR33 Racing Circle Droop Gauge with Droop Blocks MSRP: $52.99 SKU: MR33-CDG-B tonisport.de

FEATURES

MR33 Racing has improved upon their previous circle droop gauge design by including 10mm droop blocks that stow away inside the gauge when not in use. The gauge and blocks are made from CNC machined aluminum, with an anodized finish and a striking silver bevel and laser etched numbering.

The gauge measures from 4.0mm to 6.6mm in 0.2mm increments making it ideal for use with almost all 1/10 touring cars. The droop blocks and gauge feature built-in magnets that snap the droop blocks back into place inside the gauge body once you’re done. The gauge packs away into a small footprint, measuring at 45mm diameter by 18mm height, or roughly 1.75 inches by 0.56 inches.

TESTING

We tend to collect a lot of tools in the RC hobby, so it’s always nice to see companies use smart design practices with their products. MR33 Racing has improved upon an already well-made, useful product by combining 2 into 1. The Circle Droop Gauge with Droop Blocks is a great addition to the pit box and seeing as it takes up less than a couple inches of space, it’s a no brainer to add it to the tool kit. Additionally, since the droop blocks are magnet fastened into the body of the gauge, I no longer need to worry about keeping gauge and blocks together or misplacing one of them.

Overall, the manufacturing finish of the gauge is impressive. The anodization is smooth and clean, and the laser etched numbers are a nice touch and will stand the test of time compared to paint or screen printed numbering that might wear off with extended use.

I appreciate the small details MR33 Racing has designed into the product, like the small handles on the droop blocks that make them extremely easy to hold and place, the small bevels of silver between each gauge step for easy identification, and the idea of magnetstowed droop blocks.

This droop gauge is super easy to use, just simply place the droop blocks on your setup board, place your chassis atop the blocks and start measuring. Once done, you can clip the blocks back into the gauge body and set it aside, confident in knowing that the related tools will remain with one another until you need them next. It’s the simple things like that confidence and ease of use that make the MR33 Racing Circle Droop Gauge with Droop Blocks a musthave for any serious 1/10 touring car enthusiast.
