DUTCH CAMO CRAWLER

- WESLEY JOPP « VOORBURG, THE NETHERLANDS

Wesley tells us he’s been modifying his RC4WD Trailfinder for more than 5 years to end up with the truck you see here. He distressed the camo body with weathering, rust and dents to give it a realistic trail truck look, and blacked out the bed. He also cut out the side windows and the hood, using the sewing thread method to create hinges so the hood can swing up, (it is held down with a magnet.) He installed a Hitec 7955TG servo under that hood to handle steering, and power comes from a Holmes Torquemaster speed control with a Crawlmaster 16t brushed motor that has been motor dropped for increased stability and performance on the trail. He moved the leaf springs using a set of 3D-printed relocation mounts and installed a high-clearance skidplate. Dressing the Toyota body up is an RC4WD Marlin steel tube crawler bumper, side-sliders, and rear bumper. The bumper also has an RC4WD winch with Kevlar wire for the winch cable. The bed holds a spare axle housing and various other scale accessories.
