THIS SCATTER GUN IS A BLAST
Willis didn’t tell us much about his build, preferring to let the specs do the talking. He starts with a set of Northwest Scaler Designs Scatter Gun V2 frame rails with their skeletonized rear section to optimize weight low and forward in the chassis. He hung a set of Traxxas TRX4 portal axles on it and rolls on a set of Landmine 1.9s from Jconcepts. They’re tasked with putting power down from the Holmes Hobbies 1800kv Revolver motor which is controlled by a Castle Creations Mamba Max Pro ESC. The body is the always cool Dodge Power Wagon from Pro-line, dressed up with a little diamond plate on the rockers and wearing graphics from V and W across the back of the cab declaring this rig’s name to be “Gertrude.”
