What’s your RC preference? Bashing? Racing? Building? All of the above? Or is it something else? Two of the things I like best about our RC hobby is that we are all free to choose which rabbit hole we jump into and the fact that there are a bunch of niches we can fall into. RC possibilities are endless, aren’t they?

If you’re a stickler for realism, you’ll love the recently released Traxxas Toyota GR Supra GT4. It’s an on road performer that looks as good as it drives. You’ll find it on the cover as well as later on in this issue. Keeping in the on road theme, we build the latest Tamiya on road kit, one that replicates a Lotus Europa Special. It’s a unique care that has plenty of history behind it.

If you’re more into dirt than tarmac, let’s jump into the other vehicles that are featured in this issue. We hit the dirt in three different ways. We triple the weight of an Axial SCX24 by upgrading it with all the brass and aluminum parts that Treal Hobby makes. Read on to see if it was worth the effort.

Our Features Editor, Lauren Short, continues his quest to build a Losi TLR 22 5.0 clay terrain buggy. See how his build is coming along in In-depth Drive. We also rev up the latest HPI Savage X 4.6 for some nitro bashing action. Speaking of nitro action, we sit down with Nitrogang Founder & Nitro RC Youtuber, Dmitriy Bykovsky. If you’re into nitro, you’ll be interested in what he has to say.

RCCA contributor Mike Lohmann takes us on his journey to recreate a Tamiya Clodbuster that he saw back in a 1993 issue of RC Car Action. It’s a really cool story that reflects the passion and dedication of a true RC enthusiast. You won’t want to miss it.

As always, we enjoy seeing what you are doing with your RC vehicles. If you have a build you’d like to share with fellow readers, consider submitting your ride to be included into out Reader’s Rides department. You can find the easy to submit form at Rccaraction.com. It’s never been easier to submit your ride.

Until next time, Jerry Tsai Editorial Director
