Saving Grandpa’s Home

After chatting with my friend Eileen, who had recently lost her father, I read your article by a man who had discovered memories in the old family farmhouse. I was especially moved by the words his father wrote in a letter home during World War II: “All is well here. Please don’t worry. I am doing fine.” I know it was not just the author’s father talking to his son. It was also Eileen’s father and my father talking to us. Thank you for the tears of sadness and joy.
