It’s called the Kitsap Great Give. For 24 hours every April, contributions pour in to support dozens of local nonprofits, with the proceeds for each charted on a giant leaderboard. Last year, donations hit nearly $1.4 million. “At about 11:30 p.m.,” says Kol Medina, CEO of the Kitsap Community Foundation, “I got a call from a woman who said, ‘Hey, I just noticed there are 15 nonprofits that haven’t received any donations at all. I want to donate $25 to each one.’”
