The Marine Corps is committed to finding and encouragin­g all service members, their families, and civilian employees who lived or worked at Camp Lejeune in 1987or before to be included in the Camp Lejeune Historic Drinking Water notificati­on database. A Federal public health agency, the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR), is studying whether past exposure to chemicals in the drinking water at Camp Lejeune may have caused adverse health effects.
