Thank you for explaining that our brains imprint on music from our youth. I grew up with the angelic sounds of Nat King Cole and the Beatles and couldn’t understand why new music sounds so discordant. On the other hand, I never understood what my mom found in the hip-hop Charleston era. So, we can blame our brains!
