In a Different League
I ran a 5K for charity.
After the race, I wanted to see how my time ranked in my category of men ages 30 to 34. I was close to the bottom, which I chalked up to being 34—the other guys were simply younger. I was determined to rank higher the following year, when I’d be 35 in the
35 to 39 age bracket.
But that year, I was mistakenly registered in the over 70 category— and finished fourth out of seven. I can’t even win against guys double my age! —Joe Balthazor
