Who’s the Boss? and More

In 1974 I was an undergraduate at the University of Hartford. I remember a young fellow pulling up to me in his car one day and asking, “Where’s the gym?” I figured he had come to see the concert that was happening in the gym that evening, but I remember thinking he was awfully early for it. I went to that concert. The fellow who had asked for directions was there all right—onstage. No one knew who he was, but I was so impressed with him. Sometime later, I learned his name: Bruce Springsteen.
