MIND OVER MIGRAINE

A German study of migraine sufferers found that weekly sessions of mindfulnes­sbased cognitive therapy reduced the frequency of their headaches by 40 percent. This may be due to the therapy’s psychologi­cal benefits—decreased stress, anxiety, rumination, and catastroph­izing—which remove potential migraine triggers.
