A Smaller, Faster Keyboard

Every generation of iphone is bigger than the last—it almost feels as if you have an ipad in your pocket. Firing off a text or quickly googling has become a task for both hands. To make one-thumb texting easier, go to Settings, then select General > Keyboard Settings > One-handed Keyboard. You can choose to orient the keyboard toward the right or left of the screen based on your preferred typing thumb. Or, if you’re already typing, hold the emoji button until a popup menu appears with keyboard icons and arrows next to them. No more thumb aerobics to get from p to q.
