Beginner dance classes set at QA Arts Council
CENTREVILLE — Missed out on the first round of Ballroom Dancing Classes?
Not to worry! November 14 starts the next round of classes at the Queen Anne’s County Arts Council and spots are still available. Dancing on the Shore is proud to be back offering Ballroom and Latin Dance instruction at the Queen Anne County Arts Council. These have been, by far, our most requested classes over the years. Owner of Dancing on the Shore, Amanda Showell along with Dancing on the Shore Professional Instructor Maria Bagley will be offering over 65 years combined dance experience to the students attending our weekly ballroom and latin dance experience.
All classes are on Wednesday nights, and are basic beginner level classes designed for those without any or a small amount of dancing experience. There’s no need to have a partner, singles are welcome. Think you can’t dance? Let Dancing on the Shore show you that you can! It’s a learning environment that’s fun, friendly, and no pressure.
Four sessions of Wednesday night classes will be held Nov. 14 through Dec. 12 with no class the week of Thanksgiving. Basic Beginner Chacha begins at 7 p.m. followed by Basic Beginner Rumba from 8 to 9 p.m. Some students take one class, and some take the two back to back for two full hours of dancing. Classes are $50 a session, or $45 if a member of QACAC.
