School bus involved in 3-car crash
— A three-vehicle accident involving a Queen Anne’s County Public School bus occurred Tuesday morning, Nov. 20. According to Maryland State Police, the crash was in the area of the Route 8 ramp and Route 50 east and happened at approximately 7:40 a.m. There were no significant injuries reported.
School officials said Bus 4417 was on the way to the Kent Island High School annex. The collision was with three other passenger vehicles. Preliminary reports indicated a minivan was stopped at the traffic light and was rear-ended by the school bus. The investigation is still ongoing, according to Cpl. Secrist with MSP.
Seven of the 36 students on board were transported by EMS to be evaluated as a precaution. Injuries to other drivers are unknown at this time.
