Library Book Nook Have you noticed the used Book Nook in the front library which is handled by the Friends of the Queen Anne’s County Library? Take a moment next time you are in the library to look it over and maybe select a book.

Made to Play

Come to the library the second Sunday in the month from December through February (Dec. 9, Jan. 13, Feb. 10) all you youngsters ages 7-11, from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. We will have the Nike Community Ambassadors to participate in teamwork games, problem-solving games, and all kinds of movement. Sign up today for an afternoon of movement.

Too many kids in too many places don’t have the opportunity to move. There are many reasons for this — no money, no space, no programs. Kids aren’t meant to sit still. Nike employees will share their love of sport with kids, get them playing and making a positive impact in their communities.

They are not just getting kids to play and move today, they are inspiring them to be active for life. You can sign up today at calendar.qaclibrary.org.

Wellness Wednesday Friends of the Queen Anne’s County Library will be holding another Wellness Wednesday on Dec. 19 from 5 to 7 p.m. with a program of yoga, health and lifestyle. This is a free event, but participants must bring their own mat.

New Book Club

The library will start a new Brown Bag Book Club on Dec. 20 from noon to 1 p.m. The first book to be discussed will be “Little Fires Ever ywhere” by Celest Ng. Hour of Code

Miss Jennie invites all youngsters in grades 2-6 for a Minecraft hour of code on Dec. 7 at 3 p.m. This will be a journey through Minecraft with code, using blocks of code to take Steve or Alex on an adventure through this Minecraft world. This is an excellent introduction to coding for beginners.
