KQA group in­ducts 9 new mem­bers to Hall of Fame

CRUMP­TON — Mem­bers of the Kent and Queen Anne’s Fire, EMS, and Res­cue As­so­ci­a­tion met in the Crump­ton Fire­house on Nov. 28 for the an­nual Hall of Fame In­duc­tion.

Pres­i­dent Al­lan Schauber called the meet­ing to or­der. First vice pres­i­dent of the Mary­land State Fire­men’s As­so­ci­a­tion Mike Faust of the Sudlersville Fire Com­pany, re­minded ev­ery­one he was run­ning for pres­i­dent of the statewide as­so­ci­a­tion in June at Ocean City and hoped he would have the sup­port of all K&Q mem­bers. He hopes there will be fire trucks from each of the coun­ties for the pa­rade that Wed­nes­day in Ocean City.

Hall of Fame new mem­bers were read off by Pete Lott, Kennedyville. They are: Lisa Shaw, Scott Duhamell, Amy Duhamell, Greg Bird and Doug Uhl, all of Galena; Dave Ea­son Sr., Ch­ester­town; Fran­cis C. “Butch” Coursey, Jr., Church Hill; David C. Chaires, Queen Anne-hills­boro, and James Thompson, III, Good­will, Cen­tre­ville. Only fire­man Uhl of Galena was present from his com­pany to ac­cept the honor.

The Ladies Aux­il­iary of the Crump­ton Fire Com­pany served a buf­fet din­ner for the mem­ber­ship.
