KQA group inducts 9 new members to Hall of Fame
CRUMPTON — Members of the Kent and Queen Anne’s Fire, EMS, and Rescue Association met in the Crumpton Firehouse on Nov. 28 for the annual Hall of Fame Induction.
President Allan Schauber called the meeting to order. First vice president of the Maryland State Firemen’s Association Mike Faust of the Sudlersville Fire Company, reminded everyone he was running for president of the statewide association in June at Ocean City and hoped he would have the support of all K&Q members. He hopes there will be fire trucks from each of the counties for the parade that Wednesday in Ocean City.
Hall of Fame new members were read off by Pete Lott, Kennedyville. They are: Lisa Shaw, Scott Duhamell, Amy Duhamell, Greg Bird and Doug Uhl, all of Galena; Dave Eason Sr., Chestertown; Francis C. “Butch” Coursey, Jr., Church Hill; David C. Chaires, Queen Anne-hillsboro, and James Thompson, III, Goodwill, Centreville. Only fireman Uhl of Galena was present from his company to accept the honor.
The Ladies Auxiliary of the Crumpton Fire Company served a buffet dinner for the membership.
