Board of Ed­u­ca­tion swears three new mem­bers into of­fice

CEN­TRE­VILLE — As the Queen Anne’s County Board of Ed­u­ca­tion tack­led as busy agenda, Kather­ine Hager, Clerk for the Cir­cuit Court, swore in the new­est mem­bers of the school board Wed­nes­day, Dec. 5.

Those sworn in in­cluded in­cum­bent Car­rie Lee O’con­nor (District 2), and re­turn­ing for an­other non-con­sec­u­tive term was Tammy Harper (At Large). Michele Mor­ris­sette (District 1) was newly elected to the board.

O’con­nor is a li­censed so­cial worker, and ther­a­pist at Bridges Be­hav­ioral Health in Cen­tre­ville, and Harper pre­vi­ously served on the board from 2012 to 2016 and is the owner of Kent­morr Restau­rant on Kent Is­land. Mor­ris­sette is a pub­lic health nurse with the Queen Anne’s County Health Depart­ment.
