Board of Education swears three new members into office
CENTREVILLE — As the Queen Anne’s County Board of Education tackled as busy agenda, Katherine Hager, Clerk for the Circuit Court, swore in the newest members of the school board Wednesday, Dec. 5.
Those sworn in included incumbent Carrie Lee O’connor (District 2), and returning for another non-consecutive term was Tammy Harper (At Large). Michele Morrissette (District 1) was newly elected to the board.
O’connor is a licensed social worker, and therapist at Bridges Behavioral Health in Centreville, and Harper previously served on the board from 2012 to 2016 and is the owner of Kentmorr Restaurant on Kent Island. Morrissette is a public health nurse with the Queen Anne’s County Health Department.
