First session starts with ap­pointees, li­aisons

CEN­TRE­VILLE — The first session of the lat­est Queen Anne’s County Board of Com­mis­sion­ers on Tues­day, Dec. 11, started with nam­ing ap­pointees to out­side boards as well as nam­ing com­mis­sioner li­aisons.

Com­mis­sioner Jim Mo­ran was named board pres­i­dent; Jack Wil­son, vice pres­i­dent.

In a unan­i­mous vote, com­mis­sion­ers reap­pointed Traci Haas and John Mc­queeney to three-year terms on the An­i­mal Con­trol Com­mis­sion to be­gin Jan. 1, 2019, and end Dec. 31, 2021. They also re-ap­pointed Sharon Dob­son to a four-year term on the Plan­ning Com­mis­sion to be­gin Jan. 1, 2019, and end Dec. 31, 2022.

They also reap­pointed Craig Mcginnes to a three­year term on the Board of Ap­peals, Jan. 1, 2019, to Dec.

31, 2021. They ap­pointed Bernard Sadusky to the Ethics Com­mis­sion, Jan. 1, 2019 to Dec. 31, 2023.

They reap­pointed Nancy Cook, Carol Fred­er­ick, Ernes­tine Ke­p­ley and Mike Ranelli to four-year terms on the Friends of His­toric Christ Church Board of Di­rec­tors, Jan. 1, 2019, to Dec.

31, 2022.

Dora Hanna and County Com­mis­sioner Emer­i­tus Mark An­der­son were ap­pointed to four-year terms on the Per­son­nel Board , Jan. 1, 2019, to Dec. 31, 2022. The com­mis­sion­ers ap­pointed Dorsey Patch­ett and Tim Wil­son to three-year terms on the Plumb­ing Board, Jan.

1, 2019, to Dec. 31, 2021. As sit­ting com­mis­sion­ers, all five also serve as the Roads Board and the San­i­tary Com­mis­sion. Com­mis­sion­ers also were named as li­aisons and al­ter­nates to var­i­ous or­ga­ni­za­tions.

Com­mis­sioner Jim Mo­ran will serve as li­ai­son to the Bal­ti­more Metropoli­tan Coun­cil, Bal­ti­more Re­gional Trans­porta­tion Board, Bay Bridge Re­con­struc­tion Ad­vi­sory Board, Board of Ed­u­ca­tion, Board of Health, Em­ployee Morale Com­mit­tee, Kent Nar­rows De­vel­op­ment Foun­da­tion, Plan­ning Com­mis­sion, and Parks and Recre­ation Ad­vi­sory Board.

Com­mis­sioner Jack Wil­son will serve as li­ai­son to the Board of Ed­u­ca­tion, Board of Health, Broad­band Ad­vi­sory Board, Coun­cil of Gov­ern­ments, Eco­nomic De­vel­op­ment Com­mis­sion, Fire and EMS Com­mis­sion, Mary­land As­so­ci­a­tion of Coun­ties Leg­isla­tive Com­mit­tee, and So­cial Ser­vices Board.

Com­mis­sioner Steve Wil­son will serve as li­ai­son to the An­i­mal Con­trol Board, Bay Bridge Airport Com­mis­sion, Bay Bridge Re­con­struc­tion Ad­vi­sory Board, Board of Health, Depart­ment of Emer­gency Ser­vices, Spend­ing Af­ford­abil­ity Board, and is the full coun­cil rep­re­sen­ta­tive for Up­per Shore Re­gional Coun­cil.

Com­mis­sioner Phil Du­me­nil will serve as li­ai­son to the Board of Health, Com­mis­sion on Ag­ing, and the Coun­cil for Chil­dren & Youth.

Com­mis­sioner Chris Corchiarino will serve as li­ai­son to: the Al­co­hol & Drug Abuse Coun­cil, Board of Health, and Hous­ing Author­ity.

Fi­nally, in a unan­i­mous vote, com­mis­sion­ers re-ap­pointed Pa­trick Thompson as County At­tor­ney.
