RIDGELY — Santa arrived by firetruck to Ridgely Saturday morning, Dec. 19. Kids queued up in front of the Ridgely Pharmacy and Ice Cream Parlor to deliver their letters full of Christmas wishes and get the chance to talk to Santa himself.

There was quite the assembly of characters on hand to greet children as they communicated via walkie talkie with Santa. Several elves, Mickey Mouse, a gingerbread man, Rudolph and even the Grinch waved and danced from the street alongside the Ridgely Train Station.

The yearly event hosted by the local business is an opportunity to thank all of their customers. A special gift to parents, J.J. Photography shared Santa photos for those who wanted their photos taken to the ice cream shop’s Facebook page.

The Town of Ridgley and Ridgely Police Department also helped with the outdoor event, allowing kids a chance to see Santa and still follow COVID recommended guidelines.
