Shore’s land market is strong, according to local expert

-

QUEEN ANNE — Local real estate professional Mike Arajakis is a die-hard sportsman who blends a passion for land and wildlife with a career in land sales.

Arajakis, who specializes in hunting, farm and timber land, said in a news release that unfortunately, landowners sometimes do not fully understand the outdoor opportunities that can add substantial value to property.

“Eastern Maryland, or specifically the greater Chesapeake Bayarea, has lots of opportunities for sportsmen,” Arajakis said. “Many landowners don’t realize the true market value of their property when outdoor recreational opportunities are involved.”

Tracts with wooded, tillable or Conservation Resource Program acreage, pasture and good water access make for prime habitat for wildlife.

In many cases, properties in the region can help pay for themselves because of the returns from farming and timber, the release states. Farmland has long been a solid long-term investment and there is a constant demand for high-quality timber.

Arajakis’ expertise in Maryland land comes from working as a land specialist for Whitetail Properties Real Estate — industry leaders in hunting, ranch and farm land.

“The time is right to market land as a hunting and recreational property,” Arajakis said. “As a national company operating in 35 states, we offer exposure through strategically constructed marketing plans, and a nationwide database of outdoor enthusiasts and land investors — many of whom are already considering owning property in Eastern Maryland.
