12 NEW BRUNCH MENUS TO TRY IN CHICAGO THIS FALL

Fall is here, which means it’s time to em­brace cool­ing tem­per­a­tures by in­dulging in some heartier food or hot drinks. Or maybe you’d rather cling to the last days of sun­shine by keep­ing your din­ing and cloth­ing light. Which­ever op­tion you choose, these 12 new brunches will help make the change of sea­sons a bit more de­li­cious.

Bar Bis­cay

Launched: May 6

Dishes: The West Town spot serves up a se­lec­tion of crepes in­clud­ing one stuffed with ba­nana, Nutella and hazel­nuts ($14) plus a Span­ish break­fast fea­tur­ing spicy sausage, cured ham, beans, charred to­mato, eggs and toast ($22).

Drinks: The bloody mary gets a Latin twist made with cachaca and dry ver­mouth and served with Estrella lager ($10). The Must Go Faster, a blend of rum, aperol and lime, is avail­able by the glass for $13 or in a pitcher for $52.

Brunch time: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sun­day. Reser­va­tions ac­cepted.

Bro­ken Bar­rel Bar

Launched: Sept. 15

Dishes: The new Lin­coln Park spot in­cor­po­rates their house-smoked meats into the Gua­jillo Lamb Stack fea­tur­ing bis­cuits cov­ered in shred­ded lamb, hol­landaise sauce, two fried eggs and scal­lions ($14) and the Hang­over Break­fast Sand­wich made with brisket, fried egg, ched­dar, arugula, chipo­tle mayo and crispy onions served on a toasted pret­zel bun with a choice of side ($13).

Drinks: Share a bot­tle of bub­bly with or­ange, straw­berry and peach juices ($30) or just or­der your own 22-ounce bloody mary gar­nished with pick­led veg­eta­bles ($9). Brunch time: 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Satur­day and Sun­day. No reser­va­tions.
