At­las Ob­scura So­ci­ety in­vites Chicagoans on a his­toric, Hal­loween-themed scav­enger hunt — Ghouls, Gar­goyles and Ghost Signs — us­ing a “se­ries of his­tor­i­cal clues de­signed to help you dis­cover sto­ries of the city’s past and put a few ru­mors (and spir­its) to rest along the way.” The chal­lenge be­gins at 7 p.m. Fri­day at Dear­born Sta­tion (47 W. Polk St.). The hunt in­volves “haunted clues” that guests use their smart­phones to solve and you can work as an in­di­vid­ual or a team of two. Liq­uid dreams are made of these

Marz Brew­ing’s Liq­uid Dreams Fes­ti­val fea­tures a lit­tle bit of ev­ery­thing. Of course, the host brew­ery will have a lineup of its own brews, while guest brew­ers from across the coun­try will man some of the draft han­dles as well from 2 to 8 p.m. Sun­day. Lo­cal chefs and eater­ies will sup­ply nour­ish­ment, and there will be plenty of en­ter­tain­ment, both in­doors and out, weather per­mit­ting.
