Lisa Scot­to­line will be author for All Hen­rico Reads in 2019

Lisa Scot­to­line will be the 2019 All Hen­rico Reads author, the Hen­rico County Pub­lic Li­brary an­nounced Thurs­day.

Scot­to­line is the best­selling author of 32 nov­els, in­clud­ing “After Anna,” her 2018 thriller that will be the sub­ject of her ap­pear­ance at Glen Allen High School on April 10 at 7 p.m. The event will be free and open to the pub­lic. A for­mer at­tor­ney, Scot­to­line be­gan her writ­ing ca­reer in 1994 with the novel “Every­where That Mary Went.” She also writes a weekly col­umn with her daugh­ter Francesca Ser­ritella for the Philadel­phia In­quirer called “Chick Wit.” Those col­umns have been col­lected in a series of hu­mor­ous mem­oirs, in­clud­ing the most re­cent “I See Life Through Rose-Col­ored Glasses.”

All Hen­rico Reads is an an­nual reading pro­gram in which the com­mu­nity is en­cour­aged to read the same book, then dis­cuss it to­gether through li­brary dis­cus­sion groups or on their own and then come to­gether to hear the author talk about it. Since 2008, the li­brary has part­nered with Hen­rico County Pub­lic Schools and the Friends of Hen­rico County Pub­lic Li­brary to host the event.
