Jimmy Boeheim joining family at Syracuse
Jimmy Boeheim is transferring to Syracuse to play for his father and with his younger brother, Buddy Boeheim, after three seasons at Cornell.
Coach Jim Boeheim’s oldest son made the announcement Friday on Instagram.
Jimmy Boeheim placed his name in the NCAA transfer portal in November after the Ivy League announced that it was canceling its basketball season. The 6-foot-8 Boeheim averaged a team-high 16.7 points and 5.6 rebounds in 21 games in his junior season in 2019-20.
♦ Forward Theo John announced he’s transferring from Marquette to Duke, yet another player to leave the Golden Eagles. John posted on Twitter that after conferring with his family he will spend his final year of eligibility with the Blue Devils. The 6-foot-9 John averaged 8 points, 5 rebounds and 1.5 blocks this past season.
His 191 career blocks rank second in Marquette history. He has made 91 starts over the last three seasons.
