At­tacker sought af­ter man crit­i­cally in­jured in stabbing

RICH­MOND — A man suf­fer­ing mul­ti­ple stab wounds ap­peared at the Rich­mond Po­lice’s 1st Precinct build­ing early Tues­day, po­lice said.

The man ar­rived at the precinct about 2:20 p.m. shortly af­ter po­lice had been called to the in­ter­sec­tion of Tulip and Car­ring­ton streets for a re­port of a stabbing, ac­cord­ing to po­lice. He was taken to a hospi­tal and was in crit­i­cal con­di­tion.

His as­sailant was de­scribed as a black man with a dark com­plex­ion, thin build and short dark hair. He was es­ti­mated to be in his late 20s or early 30s. The at­tacker may have had a scarred right retina, po­lice said.
