passed away Novem­ber 7, 2018. He is sur­vived by his wife of 50 years, Brenda Gibbs Sparks; three chil­dren, Rob­bie, Bubba (Crys­tal) and Missy (Dusty); five grand­chil­dren, Dusty, Emma, Ad­di­son, Car­men and Josh. He re­tired from the state lab in 2007. He was a mem­ber of Colosse Bap­tist Church, was a mem­ber of King Wil­liam Fire and Res­cue for 10 years and was one of the found­ing mem­bers of the Mat­taponi Vol­un­teer Res­cue Squad, where he re­tired af­ter 25 years of ser­vice. Visi­ta­tion will be Fri­day, Novem­ber 9, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., at B.W. White Fu­neral Home, Rt. 360, Aylett. Ser­vices will be on Satur­day, Novem­ber 10, at 12 noon, at Colosse Bap­tist Church, with in­ter­ment in the church ceme­tery. In lieu of flow­ers, me­mo­rial con­tri­bu­tions may be made to Amer­i­can Can­cer So­ci­ety.
