EDI­TOR, TIMES-DIS­PATCH:

In the Op-Ed col­umn “Please, no weapons in wor­ship,” the three cler­gy­men re­fer to “car­ry­ing a ‘dan­ger­ous’ weapon in houses of wor­ship.” Could they de­fine dan­ger­ous weapon as op­posed to weapon? Or is the pur­pose of the use of this ad­jec­tive agen­dadriven hy­per­bole to in­flame the emo­tions of the reader? MAX MAIZELS RICH­MOND
