Open­ing date set for Ikea store in Nor­folk

The spa­ces for all three busi­nesses were re­de­vel­oped by CW Per­for­mance Group LLC, whose prin­ci­pal is Cory Weiner.

An­other busi­ness, Scrap RVA moved from across the street into the suite of re­de­vel­oped spa­ces. Scrap RVA sells re­pur­posed arts ma­te­ri­als, paper, fabric and other odds and ends.

CW Per­for­mance Group also is re­de­vel­op­ing an­other site on Brook­land Park Boule­vard for a brew­ery.

Mark the date: The new Ikea store in Nor­folk will open at 9 a.m. April 10.

The 331,000-square­foot store is lo­cated on 19 acres on the north­west­ern corner of In­ter­state 64 and Northamp­ton Boule­vard. It is near the Nor­folk Premium Out­lets.

The Swedish fur­ni­ture re­tailer will carry nearly 10,000 items, many dis­played in 42 in­spi­ra­tional room set­tings and four model home in­te­ri­ors. There will be a su­per­vised chil­dren’s play area and a 354-seat restau­rant serv­ing tra­di­tional Swedish and Amer­i­can food.
