Eye on consumers
A new survey is expected to show Americans are feeling less optimistic about the economy than last month.
The University of Michigan’s latest consumer sentiment survey is due out today. Economists predict that this month’s reading fell to 90, the lowest level since August, after climbing to 101 in February. The survey follows the economic fallout from the spreading coronavirus on the global economy, financial markets and businesses, disruptions that have swiftly left millions more Americans unemployed.
