Pennsylvan­ia COVID-19 update,

Elk County reported seven new cases of COVID-19 on Friday, with its total number of cases increasing from 2,395 to 2,402.

All seven of Elk County’s latest cases were confirmed cases. One new confirmed case was added to the St. Marys zip code of 15857, which has now reported 571 confirmed cases and 487 probable cases. Four new confirmed cases were added to the Ridgway zip code of 15853, which has now reported 291 confirmed cases and 187 probable cases. One new confirmed case was added to the Kersey zip code of 15846, which has now reported 89 confirmed cases and 112 probable cases. One new confirmed case was added to the Weedville zip code of 15868, which has now reported 71 confirmed cases and 44 probable cases.

Of Elk County’s 2,402 total cases of COVID-19, 1,278 have been confirmed cases and 1,124 have been probable cases. The county has also reported 5,675 negative tests.

McKean County reported five new cases of COVID-19 on Friday, with its total number of cases increasing from 3,111 to 3,116.

Four of McKean County’s latest cases were confirmed cases and the other case was a probable case. One new confirmed case was added to the Kane zip code of 16735, which has now reported 294 confirmed cases and 85 probable cases. One new probable case was added to the Bradford zip code of 16701, which has now reported 994 confirmed cases and 177 probable cases. Three new confirmed cases were added to the Smethport zip code of 16749, which has now reported 298 confirmed cases and 42 probable cases.

Of McKean County’s 3,116 total cases of COVID-19, 2,350 have been confirmed cases and 766 have been probable cases. The county has also reported 10,055 negative tests.

Four other counties reported increases in their COVID-19 case totals on Friday. Clearfield County reported 36 new cases, with its total increasing to 6,782; Forest County reported one new case, with its total increasing to 1,386; Jefferson County reported eight new cases, with its total increasing to 2,897; and Warren County reported one new case, with its total increasing to 2,244.

No new cases of COVID-19 were reported in Cameron or Potter counties on Friday.

Pennsylvan­ia has now reported 980,302 total cases of the virus since the beginning of the pandemic.
