WWC to host Zoom cooking presentation by Katering by Kate
ST. MARYS- Women Who Care (WWC) is hosting a Zoom event featuring Kate Segat as she provides a cooking presentation on Wednesday, March 24 at 7 pm. Kate will be demonstrating how to make homemade gnocchi and sauces. This is the fourth event since December that Women Who Care, a project of the Elk County Community Foundation, has organized.

Besides juggling being a wife and mother, Kate Segat of Ridgway runs her own catering, personal chef and event services business, “Katering by Kate.” Segat moved to Ridgway a few years ago from Pittsburgh where she began catering events. Segat has a degree in Culinary Arts and Kitchen Management and makes everything from sweet treats like cakes, cookies and banana bread to madefrom-scratch gnocchi, seven-cheese lasagna, award-winning chili’s and sesame-crusted ahi tuna for catered events
Women Who Care, a project of the Elk County Community Foundation (ECCF), is accepting new members until June for the 2021 granting year. WWC awards grants to non-profit organizations each fall at their annual meeting. All area women are invited to join this philanthropic organization by calling 834-2125.
