COVID update

Elk County reported the addition of another four cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday, with its total number of cases increasing from 2,910 to 2,914.

One of Elk County's latest cases was a confirmed case and the other three were probable cases. The new confirmed case and two of the new probable cases were added to the St. Marys zip code of 15857. The zip code has now reported 673 confirmed cases and 563 probable cases. The remaining new probable case was added to the Kersey zip code of 15846, which has now reported 120 confirmed cases and 128 probable cases.

Of Elk County's 2,914 total cases of COVID-19, 1,601 have been confirmed cases and 1,313 have been probable cases. The county has also reported 6,993 negative tests.

Cameron County reported one new case of COVID-19 on Wednesday, with its total number of cases increasing from 319 to 320.

Cameron County's latest case was a probable case in the Emporium zip code of 15834. The zip code has now reported 193 confirmed cases and 86 probable cases.

Of Cameron County's 320 total cases of COVID-19, 221 have been confirmed cases and 99 have been probable cases. The county has also reported 1,184 negative tests.

McKean County reported the removal of one case of COVID-19 from its total on Wednesday. The county's total number of cases decreased from 3,862 to 3,861.

The case that was removed was a confirmed case that had been attributed to the Smethport zip code of 16749. Following the removal of the case, the zip code has now reported 355 confirmed cases and 53 probable cases.

Of McKean County's 3,861 total cases of COVID-19, 2,948 have been confirmed cases and 913 have been probable cases. The county has also reported 11,633 negative tests.

According to the Pennsylvania Department of Health, there were 1,811 new cases of the virus reported statewide on Wednesday. Pennsylvania has now reported 1,241,843 total cases since the beginning of the pandemic.
