Caltagarone seeking a THIRD TERM FOR THE OffiCE OF ELK COUNTY SHERIff
Todd Caltagarone is seeking a third term for the office of Elk County Sheriff. He will be seeking the Republican nomination and Democratic write in for this May primary election. He has over 35 years of service in law enforcement having first been elected to the Office of Sheriff in 2015 and sworn in on January 4, 2016. Prior to being elected to the Office of Sheriff he served with the St. Marys City Police Department. During his last 12 years with the City, he served as the Chief of Police.
Sheriff Caltagarone has served on numerous Governing and Advisory Boards in Elk County over his service years and maintains several professional memberships. Currently, he sits on the Elk County Prison Board, the Criminal Justice Advisory Board, and Project Gifts for Elk County Board. He is a veteran of the United States Air Force, and has earned a Master's of Science Degree in Public Administration and Criminal Justice from Liberty University where he graduated with distinction. His understudies focused on Leadership and Criminal Justice. Sheriff Caltagarone is a graduate of the Pennsylvania Municipal Police Academy, received Act 201414 Sheriff certification from the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency, and is a graduate of the FBI National Academy in Quantico, Virginia. Admission to the National Academy is a highly competitive and selective process.
As part of his duties, he is committed to the Health and Safety of the people he serves, and is often called upon to present on various topics. Sheriff Caltagarone believes it to be an honor and a privilege to serve the citizens of Elk County as their elected Sheriff. Sheriff Caltagarone resides in St. Marys with his wife Sandy.
