Drug possession
RIDGWAY TWP. – At 12:24 a.m. on Feb. 4, PSP Ridgway troopers conducted a traffic stop on a 2021 Chevrolet Sonic on Wilcox Road/Launer Drive in Ridgway Township for a Title 75 violation. Upon making contact with the operator, Abigail Pfingstler, 33, of Johnsonburg, it was determined Pfingstler was in possession of marijuana. Charges were filed through 59-3-02.
Endangering welfare of child
RIDGWAY TWP. – At 8 a.m. on Jan. 4, PSP Ridgway troopers were dispatched to 29 Cummings Drive in Ridgway Township for a Childline report that was received. This investigation continues.
Theft by deception – ID theft
RIDGWAY TWP. – At 3:12 p.m. on Jan. 31, PSP Ridgway was contacted by a 36-year-old Johnsonburg woman related to unemployment identity theft. The investigation is ongoing.
Crash
FOX TWP. – PSP Ridgway report investigating a crash at 9:36 p.m. on Jan. 30 on Shelvey Summit Road, 216 feet west of Kemmer Road, in Fox Township. According to PSP, this crash occurred as a 2001 Jeep Cherokee operated by Abigail S. MacAfee, 18, of Ridgway, was traveling west on Shelvey Summit Road. The Jeep drifted off the roadway due to icy roadways on the west berm and struck a tree head on.
Crash
JONES TWP. – PSP Ridgway report investigating a crash at 4:34 a.m. on Jan. 17 on Burning Well Road in Jones Township. According to PSP, this crash occurred as four vehicles were all traveling north on SR 219 between Old Kane Road and Rocky Run Road in Jones Township. The vehicles were listed as being a 2009 Chevrolet Avalanche operated by Tricia N. Wonderling, 32, of Johnsonburg; a 2015 Toyota RAV4 operated by Jason M. Kline, 40, of Johnsonburg; a 2017 Ford F-150XLT operated by William J. Costanzo, 62, of Johnsonburg; and an unknown vehicle. Due to slippery road conditions, the Chevrolet lost control and began an uncontrolled spin. The Toyota then struck the left side of the Chevrolet, causing minor damage. The Ford then struck the rear left side of the Chevrolet, causing disabling damage. The fourth unknown vehicle then struck the rear of the Ford, causing disabling damage. The unknown vehicle fled the scene, continuing northbound on SR 219. No injuries were reported. The Chevrolet was towed by Twisted Metal Towing, and the Ford was towed by Wally's Super Service.
DUI
ST. MARYS CITY – On Jan. 29 at 12:38 a.m., PSP Ridgway conducted a traffic stop for a traffic violation on Washington Street in the City of St. Marys. After further investigation, the operator, a 23-year-old Johnsonburg man, was suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol. The operator was transported to Penn Highlands Elk and consented to a legal blood draw. Charges are pending blood results.
Possession of drug paraphernalia
FOX TWP. – At 12:06 a.m. on Jan. 25, PSP Ridgway investigated possible drug paraphernalia found at MJ's Mini Mart in Fox Township.
Drug possession
RIDGWAY BORO – On Jan. 29 at 8:35 p.m., PSP Ridgway conducted a traffic stop on a 2010 Chevrolet Cobalt on Main Street/Vine Avenue in Ridgway Borough for multiple moving violations. Upon investigation, it was determined the driver, Randall Marconi, 66, of St. Marys, was under the influence and in possession of a controlled substance. Charges will be filed through MDJ 59-3-02 Martin's office.
Crash
JAY TWP. – PSP Ridgway report investigating a crash at 4:10 p.m. on Jan. 26 on Bennetts Valley Highway, 244 feet south of Rita Lane, in Jay Township. According to PSP, this crash occurred as a 2011 Nissan Maxima operated by Stephen A. Ross, 57, of St. Marys, was traveling north on SR 255. While negotiating a slight left hand curve, the Nissan left the west side of the roadway, striking a tree and coming to final rest. Ross reported minor injuries but refused transportation by EMS. Assisting on scene were Bennetts Valley EMS and D&T Towing.
Crash
JONES TWP. – PSP Ridgway report investigating a crash that occurred recently in Jones Township. According to PSP, the crash occurred as unit #1 was traveling south on SR 219 in Jones Township when, for unknown reasons, a trailer tire fell off and struck unit #2 as it was traveling north on SR 219. Unit #2's airbags deployed as it sustained disabling damage to the 10 o'clock position. No injuries were reported as a result of the crash and all involved persons were wearing their seat belts.

RIDGWAY TWP. – On Jan. 27 at 11:54 a.m., PSP Ridgway received a report of a fraudulent unemployment account. The victim was listed as being a 61-year-old Johnsonburg man. The investigation continues.
