Kasmierski, Lindberg, Sorg, Jackson among top scorers

Ridgway junior Jenna Kasmierski and senior Aaron Sorg, Johnsonbur­g senior Ella Lindberg, and junior Isaiah Jackson are among the top 30 ranked scorers in District 9, according to D9and10spo­rts.com.

Kasmierski scored 16 points per game (ppg) during the 13-11 Lady Elker campaign, which included two district Class A playoff games. She is tied for third with Redbank Valley's Alivia Huffman. Lindberg averaged 10 points per game (25th) for the Ramettes, who finished 6-16.

Otto-Eldred senior Katie Sheeler, who has over 1,000 career points, is scoring 22 ppg to top the list. The Lady Terrors finished as the D9 Class A runners-up to Elk County Catholic. Junior Lucy Klawuhn of the Lady Crusaders is ranked 19th (10.5 ppg).

Sorg averaged 14.6 points per outing for the Elkers, who finished 17-9 after falling to Karns City 36-33 in Saturday's district 2A consolatio­n game. Jackson, who averaged 13.3 ppg, is 23rd among the top 30. The Rams finished 11-14 and played in the district's Class A playoffs. North Clarion Aiden Hartle tops the scoring list by averaging 24.7 ppg.
