Kasmierski, Lindberg, Sorg, Jackson among top scorers
Ridgway junior Jenna Kasmierski and senior Aaron Sorg, Johnsonburg senior Ella Lindberg, and junior Isaiah Jackson are among the top 30 ranked scorers in District 9, according to D9and10sports.com.
Kasmierski scored 16 points per game (ppg) during the 13-11 Lady Elker campaign, which included two district Class A playoff games. She is tied for third with Redbank Valley's Alivia Huffman. Lindberg averaged 10 points per game (25th) for the Ramettes, who finished 6-16.
Otto-Eldred senior Katie Sheeler, who has over 1,000 career points, is scoring 22 ppg to top the list. The Lady Terrors finished as the D9 Class A runners-up to Elk County Catholic. Junior Lucy Klawuhn of the Lady Crusaders is ranked 19th (10.5 ppg).
Sorg averaged 14.6 points per outing for the Elkers, who finished 17-9 after falling to Karns City 36-33 in Saturday's district 2A consolation game. Jackson, who averaged 13.3 ppg, is 23rd among the top 30. The Rams finished 11-14 and played in the district's Class A playoffs. North Clarion Aiden Hartle tops the scoring list by averaging 24.7 ppg.
