Co-op track team at championships today
Twenty-one Johnsonburg/Ridgway athletes are at the Middle School Track and Field Championships today in Altoona at Mansion Park.
It's the final competition of the season for the Ramettes and Rams. Today's qualifiers for the championships include eighth graders Mario Casilio, Oliver Dankesreiter, Delaney Dunworth, Gage Lehman, Bristol Mathis, Kyla McCabe, Jack Michalowski, Walker Miller, Aubrey Rockwell, Beau Schreiber and Xavier Stockman. Seventh graders Aiden Carnovale, Mia Ginther, Elexis Havrda, Jonah King, Kiptyn MacDonald, Bria McCabe, Andrea Porter, Sophia Rupprecht, Calvyn Sample, and Jace Zimmerman. Andon Lindberg qualified but is out due to an injury.
The action gets underway at 10 a.m. Medals are awarded to the top three finishers, and ribbons are awarded for fourth through eighth place. Mansion Park is located at 340 N. Logan Blvd, Altoona, 16602.
