Mike Spinelli

Failed thrash-metal guitarist and former family cable-tv host Spinelli keeps showing up with an empty lunch pail and asking to write about cars in exchange for longwinded conversations and an occasional club sandwich. He enjoys fretting over his 2002 Jaguar XJR’S very expensive brakes and searching for a Toyota MR2 Spyder to replace the one he regrets selling. Most recently, he crawled down the “sucker car” rabbit hole for our story about the history of fan aero (page 050). He has become obsessed with boundary layers, so don’t get him started.
