Tariq Dixon
Dixon is the founder of Trnk, a New York City–based design studio and curatorial platform. This month, he selected architect John Moutoussamy for a portfolio of BIPOC designers whose contributions haven’t been given their proper due (“The Unsung Giants,” p. 138). “Although Moutoussamy’s work was somewhat quiet and restrained, his accomplishments are anything but,” he says. “He achieved a lot of firsts throughout his career, including being the first Black American to hold partnership at a large architecture firm.” Prior to his work at Trnk, Dixon was a buyer for menswear brands such as Gilt and Giorgio Armani.
