Rosemarie “Rosie” Graw

ROCKFORD - Rosemarie “Rosie” Graw, 95, passed away on August 8, 2023. Born on May 26, 1928, in Rockford, the daughter of Alfred and Josephine (Leoni) Falzone. She graduated from St. Peter and Paul Grade School in 1944 and from Muldoon High School, class of 1948. Rosie worked at George Rogers Clark Insurance Company after high school. On June 10, 1950, she married the love of her life, Ronald Graw. Together they had two sons, Robert born in November 1954 and William born in July 1956. For many years she was very active at St. Patrick’s Church. She served as a Sacristan in church and outside keeping the grounds beautiful with flowers. She is survived by her husband of 73 years, Ronald; sons, Robert (Angela) and William (Pam); grandchildren, Erin (Ola) Ogunsanya, Adam (Jenny) Graw, and Leah Chapman; great grandchildren, Ayden McCarthy, Olivia Graw, Emmeline Graw, and Zen Ogunsanya; and sister, Claudia Taylor. She is predeceased by her parents and brother, Robert Falzone. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, August 17, 2023, at 10:00 am at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 2501 School Street, Rockford, IL 61101. A visitation at church will take place prior to mass starting at 9:00 am. A night before visitation will be on Wednesday, August 16, 2023, from 4:00 – 6:30 pm with a rosary starting at 6:30 pm, at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, 3910 N. Rockton Avenue, Rockford, IL 61103.
