Ariana Grande

18THMARCH

JULY 13TH

Grande is in the middle of one of modern pop’s greatest level-ups — in the past year, she’s become a world-class avatar of love, heartbreak and spiritual liberation via the dance floor. With two new albums out, she’s moving on to the Sweetener tour, whose full-scale arena production is likely to make it the pop show to beat in 2019.

Elton John

18THMARCH

JULY 13T

Sir Elton’s Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour, which began in September, is making its final U.S. run this month, including several sold-out New York dates. Well, not quite final — after a jaunt to Europe in May, June and July, he’ll be back in the States this fall for more Farewell shows. Still, this is a choice opportunity to see one of rock’s bestever showmen pulling out all the stops.

Priests

MARCH 8TH-MAY 1ST

These Washington, D.C., punks are known for the cleansing fury of their live performances. On their new album, The Seduction of Kansas, they temper their rage with new notes of disco and other pop joys.

It’s an appealing twist on their sound, and it should be fun to see it in action when Priests launch a tour of clubs in the South and Midwest and on the East Coast this spring.
