in 1977, David Bowie fled to West Germany.

Low began his innovative “Berlin trilogy” (though it was cut mostly in France). Working with Brian Eno and producer Tony Visconti, he split the LP between electronic instrumentals and quirky funk, like “Sound and Vision.”
