Elektra, 1993 with the breeders’ breakthrough LP, Kim Deal made a record every bit as good as her old band the Pixies, full of buzzing, surfy songs about sex and summer, helped out by her sister Kelly on guitar. They even got on the radio with “Cannonball,” the 1990s’ greatest fluke hit.
