Atco, 1968 mac rebennack was a New Orleans piano player who made it to L.A. in the Sixties, where he encountered psychedelia. Christening himself Dr. John Creaux the Night Tripper, he concocted this swamp-funk blend of New Orleans R&B, voodoo chants, and chemical inspiration.
