Fletcher Gets Her Moment in the Sun

THERE’S NO PLACE like home. Just ask rising pop star Fletcher, who got to celebrate her debut album, Girl of My Dreams, by playing the Sea.Hear. Now Festival in Asbury Park, New Jersey. Family members and old teachers turned up to watch the Garden State native perform on the beach she went to when growing up. True to her brand, she even nabbed an Italian sub from Joe Leone’s (a shop she “fucking dreams” about when she’s away from Jersey). “My grandma came out onstage, my parents came out onstage,” Fletcher says. “I sang a song to them that I wrote about them and Jersey. It was by far the most full-circle, meaningful performance of my life.”
